Sears had interest in High Standard, and the patents were co-owned, IIRC.Īround 1961-2, Sears moved to using Winchesters' new shotgun design for their in-house shotguns, labeled Ted Williams. History wise- they are modifications of the design first sold as the Sears/JC Higgins Model 20, starting in the late 1940s. Stimson's websites' owners manual/parts schematics are still up: The K121 was a 'normal' hunting shotgun length. The K120 generally was a riot gun length, if I remember correctly. I know that code 'HP' equaled August of 1971. The key is not the serial number, but the date code on the shotgun. The High Standard forum that John Stimson maintained ended in October of 2019. ![]() I can't seem to find any info about them online. Can anyone help me out with some research on High Standard shotguns? I am looking for the date of manufacture on a Model 120 shotgun,
